Bhopal A city of more than 1.5 million, Bhopal was the scene of one of the world's worst industrial disasters, when in the early morning of 3 December 1984, three weeks after my first visit to the city, the Union Carbide chemical plant exploded killing an estimated 20,000 people over a period of 20 years. I returned to Bhopal in December 2004 to record the 20th anniversary events and document some of the positive developments that are taking place despite the refusal of the company (now owned by Dow Chemicals) to take full responsibility for their negligence. The fight for justice for the people of Bhopal continues
