McLoed Ganj Life in many thousands of small towns and villages across India is dominated by the rhythm of rural life and its demands. For residents of the former hill station of McLeod Ganj in the Himalayan foothills, the isolated world of small farmers and herders blends harmoniously with the contrasting presence of the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan Government in exile and the many foreigners, myself included, who travel to this remote settlement in the hope of absorbing some of the mysteries of Tibetan Bhuddism.
